Our Process
Every Harrelson Handcrafted piece starts in our home studio in Maple Falls, Washington, where we design and build each product by hand.
We work primarily with vegan leather and wood, cutting and laser-engraving each piece with precision before assembling it by hand. We lead different parts of the process: Rick handles the woodworking and clock production, while Meghan designs and assembles the Plantscapes and seasonal collections. No factories, no shortcuts. What you receive was made by someone who cared about getting it right.
Our hardwoods are sourced from local mills here in Washington state. For our vegan leather and other raw materials, we work with domestic tanneries and suppliers, because where our materials come from matters as much as what we do with them.
The designs come from what surrounds us: the ferns, the mountains, the orcas in the Salish Sea, the topographic lines of trails we've actually hiked. Nature isn't just our aesthetic. It's where we live.
